“69th National Film Awards India 2023: A Celebration of Indian Cinema”
I. Introduction The National Film Awards is one of the most prestigious film awards in India. It was established in 1954 and is presented annually by the Directorate of Film Festivals, an organization set up by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The awards are given to honor the best films and filmmakers in India. The 69th National Film Awards India 2023 were announced on August 24th, 2023. The awards ceremony was hosted by actor and filmmaker R. Madhavan. The awards honored the best of Indian cinema from the year 2021. A total of 31 awards were presented in various categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor/Actress. The awards were eagerly awaited by many people in the Indian film industry. SS Rajamouli’s RRR was one of the most awarded films, winning a total of 6 awards. II.
